BURNING PERMITS
As per By-Law No. 171/2021, burning permits must be taken out from the RM office, at no cost, for any burning done between April 1st and November 30th. Permits must be issued in person at the RM office located at 108, Main Street North in Vita.
*Please note that council has the authority to invoke a burn ban at their discretion. If there is a burn ban in effect all issued permits become immediately void.
ALL those burning within the RM of Stuartburn are required to obtain a burning permit from the RM of Stuartburn.
Anyone burning in the wooded district, as shown outlined in red on the map, must obtain a burning permit from both the Province of Manitoba and the RM of Stuartburn. A 2-permit system is now in place for this burning area.
