Compassionate Quilters

Compassionate Quilters of Vita
The Compassionate Quilters of Vita is a dedicated volunteer group formed on October 1, 2014, with the goal of supporting individuals and families in need throughout the community. United by a shared passion for quilting, members create and donate handmade quilts to those experiencing loss, hardship, or displacement, offering comfort and care during difficult times.

Through compassion, creativity, and community spirit, the group continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many residents in the region.

Weekly Gatherings
The Compassionate Quilters meet every Wednesday from the beginning of September through the end of May at the Shady Oak Lodge Activity Room.
Meeting Hours
  • Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Volunteers are welcome to come and go throughout the day as their schedule allows.

Everyone is Welcome
New volunteers are always welcome to join. Members bring their own sewing machines, and there are also many opportunities for non-sewers to help with other tasks and projects.

Whether you are an experienced quilter, interested in learning, or simply looking to spend time helping others in the community, the Compassionate Quilters would be happy to welcome you.
