2026 MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Municipal elections are conducted every four years. The next municipal election is scheduled for October 28, 2026. The Rural Municipality of Stuartburn is comprised of four wards and is represented by five elected officials.
By-elections are held when a position on Council becomes vacant more than six months prior to the next general election. If a vacancy occurs six months or less before the next general election, the position will remain vacant until the election is held.
Ward Boundaries
Wards are established for electoral purposes only. Council members, once elected, are responsible for representing and acting in the best interests of the municipality as a whole. Please click the link below to view the ward boundary map.
The Head of Council
The Head of Council (Reeve) is the representative for the Council as a whole. They are elected by the body of voters as a whole to provide leadership over the entire Council. The Head of Council is allowed one vote just like the rest of Council and the public.
